Story of the Founder
Hello, I’m Joanna Zhang, the founder of Célestes Jewelry. I started this brand in 2024, with a vision to create jewelry that goes beyond the ordinary—pieces that speak to quality, style, and the essence of self-expression.
Before this, I spent my days at Porsche, working as a Senior Product Manager for Innovation Products. It was a fast-paced environment, where I often interacted with people from all walks of life. During this time, I realized how powerful a first impression could be, and how a well-chosen accessory could elevate one’s entire presence. But I found it challenging to discover jewelry that lived up to its promise, where the real piece was as striking as the photos that advertised it.
Pearls, however, always held a special place in my heart. Inspired by my love for them, I decided to create my own collection—necklaces and earrings that reflected my personal style. Just an hour away from home lies Zhuji, the world’s largest freshwater pearl hub, where over 80% of the world’s pearls are sourced. After careful consideration, I partnered with a family-run business known for its dedication to craftsmanship and quality to bring my designs to life.
What started as a personal project quickly became something bigger. As I wore my creations, friends and colleagues began to notice and request their own pieces. That’s when the spark ignited—the same passion I had for creating innovative products at Porsche, now channeled into designing jewelry that didn’t just meet expectations, but exceeded them.
And so, Célestes Jewelry was born—a brand with a mission to craft timeless pieces that embody the beauty of individuality, and the idea that true luxury is in the details. Each design is a reflection of my journey, my passion, and my belief that everyone deserves to wear something as unique and beautiful as they are.
