I'm super excited to introduce you to something truly special: the Cœur Brillant collection. "Cœur Brillant" translates to "Brilliant Heart" in English, capturing the essence of our new line. It’s not just another addition to our lineup; it’s a deeply personal creation that serves as a heartfelt reminder to cherish the love we ought to give ourselves. This inspiration comes from a pretty cool piece of nature——the Meiocardia vulgaris. This little-known marine bivalve isn’t just rare; it’s got a magical trick. From the side, it might remind you of sheep horns, but change your perspective, it reveals a perfect heart shape. It’s like nature’s secret wink, celebrating both toughness and tenderness.
Here's the scoop on why this shell spoke to us so deeply. It’s all about embracing that mix of resilience and softness—something that really resonated with us. It serves as a reminder of our own complex layers and the beauty in each aspect.
Diving deeper into how we brought this idea to life, we started by scanning a Meiocardia vulgaris to capture its unique form. From there, we moved to modeling and 3D printing to scale, creating the exact dimensions needed for our designs before moving into mold-making. This technical journey from a simple scan to exquisite jewelry pieces is a part of what makes this collection so special.
Teaming up with How on this was phenomenal. We meshed our experiences and perspectives into every design, ensuring that our collaborative spirit was woven into the very fabric of each piece. As we sketched and planned, it wasn’t just about the aesthetics but about infusing each item with stories of overcoming and triumph.
We present each piece meticulously crafted from 925 silver, beautifully plated with 18k gold and white gold, paired with pearls to complement various skin tones. We aim to create pieces that not only look stunning on everyone but also celebrate diversity and individual beauty.
A little backstory here: How, who's been rocking it as an HR director at Nvidia, found solace and expression in designing this collection during a tough phase of depression. This project became her outlet to connect, create, and impart profound messages about navigating through life’s darker stretches with grace.
Adding to the uniqueness, all of our products, except for some components that we find on the existing market, are handcrafted by artisans from Zhuji, Zhejiang—the world’s largest freshwater pearl supply region. The skilled hands of these craftsmen bring our visions to life, ensuring that each piece not only embodies our aesthetic and emotional intent but also carries the touch of unmatched artisanal quality.
